About CAMP Stores

If you are not familiar with the CAMP Stores, let me give you a quick overview of this super cool company. CAMP is a “Family Experience Company”, which means it is part toy store and part interactive play space.

The company has locations in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, Texas, and now Boston!

It is a unique concept with a hybrid shop and play experience. Not only can you interact while in the shopping part (there is a car in every store kids can play in), but each location has a fun, interactive, and experiential play experience.

These experiences, available with the purchase of a ticket, are uniquely themed and they change every few months. Current and previous themes have included Base Camp, Travel Camp, Toy Lab Camp, Cooking Camp, and now The Paw Patrol Experience.

During these experiences, activities range depending on the theme. However, kids can interact, play, create, do arts and crafts, build, climb, slide, swing, be entertained, and more.

These experiences are fun for the whole family, and can engage kids of all ages. As they are guided by “CAMP counselors”, the experiences can be modified based on abilities and age in the group.

As a thoughtful and inclusive company, even kids with special needs can have an AWESOME time at CAMP. Plus, the changing themes make visiting the CAMP Stores, worth returning to time and time again.

About CAMP Boston

The CAMP Boston store is a brand new, unique, and fun new destination in the North Shore area of Massachusetts. It's located at the Burlington Mall, just 20 minutes north of Boston.

If you're looking for an indoor activity to do with kids that will make them happy, CAMP Boston is definitely the place to go!

Like all of the stores in the CAMP collection, CAMP Boston greets you with a beautiful and bright toy store with an interactive car kids can play in while you shop.

Led by their CAMP counselors, campers will find CAMP Boston's current interactive theme, The Paw Patrol Experience! This attraction is based on the popular Nickelodeon show and books and it offers kids the chance to become a character from the show, go on missions, and play in a variety of fun environments to solve the missions and save the day.

It is about an hour to enjoy the entire experience, but it is a great indoor thing to do in Boston with kids.

Our Experience At CAMP Boston & The Paw Patrol Experience

When we first arrived at CAMP Boston & The Paw Patrol Experience, I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew it was going to be fantastic, just from looking online at the other CAMP stores and their experiences.

But I have to say, I was blown away.

Upon checking in for our experience, my nine-year-old twins patiently waited in the store's green car (a “mini”). They had so much fun pushing buttons, honking the horn, turning on the lights, and pretending to drive. We also received our mission booklet and stickers we would need for The Paw Patrol Experience.

I took some time to peruse the shopping, which has a fantastic selection of high-quality toys and games kids from toddlers to teens would love. In fact, I made a note for the next birthday party AND noticed the wrapping station! That is always important to moms on a tight schedule and on the birthday party circuit.

We next were invited to help open the Magic Door, where our fun and bubbly CAMP Counselors led us through. They then explained our guided journey, which would involve us suiting up (wearing our Paw Patrol Badge), and solving our missions so we could help save the day.

These themed missions around different Paw Patrol characters included putting out fires, driving police cars, helping rebuild buildings (using our paws), saving pups using remote control cars, going over the city on a zip line, and more!

My Kids' Opinion

My nine-year-olds were challenged and yet had so much fun. It was active, interactive, they used their thinking skills, and it was very entertaining.

And, what impressed me most, was that while it was great fun for my nine-year-olds, the toddler in the group next to us was having just as much fun! The experience is very thoughtful and really does appeal to all ages.

Also, our super fun counselors were high energy, fully engaged, and really got my kids excited and involved in the theme. They also helped keep the kids on task and made sure it was fun for them.

Overall, we absolutely loved Camp Boston and the Paw Patrol Experience. It's a great place for kids to run around and have fun, and it's also perfect for shopping and birthday gifts. We highly recommend this attraction to anyone looking for something fun to do indoors in Boston with kids!

  • CAMP Boston store is free to visit, but the Paw Patrol Experience requires tickets. You can get those here!
  • The Paw Patrol Experience is a GUIDED EXPERIENCE, not a free play space. So kids can't just run around.
  • The CAMP Counselors will lead kids through and help them with the missions.
  • Parents MUST be with their kids at all times. This means you need to buy a ticket for both yourself AND your kids. This is NOT a drop off play experience.
  • The Paw Patrol Experience is a TIMED ENTRY. You need to be there a few minutes before the start of your ticket. If you are late for your tour, you may need to rebook.
  • Parking at the Burlington Mall can be busy, so allow for extra time to park and get into the mall.
  • The store is located in the BACK SIDE of Burlington Mall (the new entrance to the right of Legal Seafoods – use the entrance next to Fogo de Chao Steakhouse).
  • You may be on a tour with other families.
  • The CAMP Counselors can accommodate kids with special needs, so let them know when you book your ticket if any special accommodations are required.
  • At the moment, they can't host birthday parties at this location with food. But you can certainly make The Paw Patrol Experience part of a birthday and host the food/cake at one of the restaurants in the mall.
  • Masks and hand sanitizing are required at the time of publication. Also the team regularly cleans all surfaces after kids visit an area.
  • Every few months or so, CAMP changes what is behind the “Magic Door”. So keep visitng CAMP.com for new and upcoming themes. But, if you don't want to miss The Paw Patrol Experience, I recommend getting your tickets now.
